God told Noah that He would never flood the earth again, and the rainbow would forever be the sign of His promise. Have you ever made a promise? To yourself or someone else? Those pesky “New Year’s Resolutions” are a form of a promise to yourself. Lose weight. Exercise more. Organize more. Clean more. Whatever. Too often we do not really follow through on those promises to ourselves. How about your promises to others? Maybe we need to have a beautiful rainbow as a sign of our promise being completed. Wouldn’t we be healthier if we DID lose those “extra” pounds or exercise more? Pulling those old clothes from the bag you forgot to take to Goodwill, and being able to wear that favorite pair of jeans again, couldn’t that be a “rainbow”? God made many promises to many people as told by the Bible. He didn’t always promise a rainbow or sign for those promises, but He did live up to His end of the promise. Abraham, Moses, David and so many more. Even the promise He has made to you. So far He’s honored that one, too. But wait! There’s more…Join us Sunday as we explore some promises, I promise! Pastor Jesse

MEAT CANNING PROJECT:  On April 10th five members will help the Southern and Atlantic Districts can chicken for persons in needy areas.  We will leave at 3:00 a.m. to begin work at 6:00 a.m. at a Mennonite facility near Ephrata, PA.  This is a great opportunity to help many persons while enjoying meeting COB members from other congregations.   This project does have many expenses for chicken, cans, use of canning facility and shipping.  If you would like to support this worthy project, you may place noted contributions in our offering plate.  Thank you for your interest and generosity.  Don Miner
