Our Children’s Sunday School Program

Special events:  Our youth class provides the entire Children’s Dept. with a Christian based carnival the last Sunday in August during the usual class hour.  Our youth provide an Easter egg hunt Easter Sunday morning during the usual class hour.

Cherub Choir

 All children from Preschool through Grade 5 are invited to be part of our Cherub Choir.  Rehearsals are during the fifteen minute worship prior to Sunday School.  Our Cherub Choir provides music during the Worship Service at least once a quarter.

Crib Nursery

Purpose:  To provide a safe environment for care and play in a Christian setting.

We have adult supervised childcare for infants through 2 years old during Sunday School and Worship hours.  The area is fully equipped, child safe, and a homey appearance.  The crib nursery is handicapped accessible and equipped.  We are able to provide care for special needs children.

Preschool (ages 2 ½ through 4 years old)

 Curriculum: 

Purpose:   To start building the basic foundation of a Christ centered, C.O.B. based lifestyle through teaching and church worship experiences.

Our classroom is large, painted in bright primary colors.  The furniture is age-appropriate sized, with a reading center (in a bath tub), a house keeping center, play center, and art center.  The area is handicapped accessible and equipped.  We are ready and able to include special needs children.

Kindergarten and Grades 1^st and 2^nd

Curriculum: 

Purpose:  To continue building the basic foundation of a Christ centered, C.O.B. based lifestyle through teaching and church worship experiences.

Our classroom is large with age-appropriate sized furniture.  The area is handicapped accessible and equipped.  We are ready and able to include special needs children.

Grades 3, 4, 5

 Curriculum: 

 Purpose:  Our third graders would have received their own Bible during Christian Education Sunday in the fall.   We continue building children’s foundation of a Christ centered, C.O.B. based lifestyle through teaching and church worship experiences.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

In Children’s Church we will be learning about the Bible, singing songs, coloring pictures,  playing games, and making crafts.

Throughout the year we will meet twice a month and a schedule will be posted.  Children’s Church, at the moment, we are looking for volunteers to teach this important class.

Children’s Church is designed for children enrolled in Kindergarten thru 5^th grade.  We meet upstairs on the second floor.  This is the room with the “footprints” around the door.
